Adding shortcuts to screens

Did you know that you can add icons in the tool bars in all screens to provide access to any function in maestro*? Adding shortcuts can be configured by the user.

Add a shortcut

In this example, you are an accounts payable clerk and must make a payment for which a lien has been created. You probably need to confirm the amount of the release to be received from your supplier in exchange for your payment.

You may want to add a shortcut to access the Lien Management option rather than having to exit the option? Below is the procedure to be followed:

  1. From the Selected Disbursements option, right click in the tool bar (see red box). Then click on the Add Remove/Shortcuts option.

  1. From the Shortcut Management window, click the Add button to select the option for which a shortcut is required.

  1. Select the option and click OK.

  1. Check or uncheck the Visible for All Companies box. Then click OK.

If checked, this shortcut will be available in all companies to which you have access.

  1. If you like, you can change the image on the icon by double-clicking on the image.

Result: The icon for the shortcut is displayed in the tool bar. The small arrow indicates that this is a shortcut added by the user.
